VESA 2024 Conference Announcement

The Virginia EL Supervisors Association (VESA) is proud to announce our 2024 annual conference!

 

This year’s conference theme is “Bridging Worlds, Empowering Voices: Fostering Community and Collective Responsibility”.

 

The conference will feature sessions related to evidenced-based practices in supporting our diverse English Learners with the goal of ensuring college and career readiness. Conference sessions will also include a focus on strategies for developing academic literacy and language in the content areas, vocabulary instruction for ELs, and support for our Long-Term ELs.

The conference will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 1pm-5pm and Friday, January 26, 2024, from 8am-3pm at the Double Tree by Hilton Williamsburg located at 50 Kingsmill Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.

​

Divisions are encouraged to submit proposals related to the education of ELs.  A link will be provided soon, at the following link 2024 VESA Conference Presentation Proposal.

Online registration for the conference is available at VESA 2024 Registration. The registration fee includes a light reception on Thursday evening, January 25, 2024, and breakfast and lunch on Friday, January 26, 2024. Registration may be paid with a Purchase Order (PO).  Registration closes on Friday, December 22, 2024.

Book your group rate at Double Tree by Hilton Williamsburg.  Attendees may also book their lodging by calling directly 800-222-8733.  You will need to identify that you are attending the VESA 2024 Annual Conference to get the special group room rate of $110.00 USD per night.
